Daya Bay at the University of Wisconsin
The UWisc group is coordinating the technical effort in the US on the Daya Bay antineutrino detectors. Our main activities are listed below.
Publications
Antineutrino Detector Design and R&D
Project Responsibilities:
- US L2 manager for antineutrino detectors
- design of the target vessels
- design of the PMT mounts and support
- precision measurement of the target mass to < 0.1%, and detector filling
- instrumentation for the measurement and monitoring of physical detector properties (target geometry, mass, temperature)
- planning for the detector assembly, installation, and commissioning
