- Management of the Antineutrino Detector Design, Construction, and Commissioning
Karsten Heeger is the US L2 manager for the Daya Bay Antineutrino Detector System. He oversees and coordinates the design, construction,
installation, and commissioning of the US deliverables to the Daya Bay Antineutrino Detetcors.
- Design of the Daya Bay Arylic Target Vessel System and Fabrication of the 4m Vessels
The Wisconsin group is responsible for the design and integration of the Daya Bay acrylic vessels system, and the fabrication of the outer 4-m
- High Precision Measurement of the Target Mass to < 0.1%
Accurate knowledge of the number of target protons is essential for determining the predicted antineutrino event rate in the Daya Bay
detectors. We are developing a system for filling the Antineutrino Detectors with the three target liquids and measuring the number of protons
to < 0.1%.
- Antineutrino Detector Simulation & Physics Analysis
We have studied the reference design of the Daya Bay Antineutrino Detectors through simulations and peformed an analysis of the Daya Bay
sensitivity in the GLOBES framework.
